PURCHASES
All of our jewelry holds a lifetime warranty against defects in materials or craftsmanship. Normal wear and tear is excluded. Any necessary maintenance will be performed at no charge during the first year. All sales final for sale items.

CLEANING AND INSPECTION
We recommend you have your jewelry cleaned and inspected at least every 6 months. We will be happy to do this for you free of charge. Oliver Smith Jeweler is not responsible for the loss of stones due to worn prongs and settings.
RETURNS
All showcase purchases must be returned within ten (10) days from purchase, with a receipt for a full refund We will refund 100%, less any custom alterations, provided the item is in like-new condition. No returns will be taken for Special orders or Custom work except as store credit.
WARRANTY COVERAGE
Keep receipt tor warranty coverage. Warranty does not cover stone breakage. Ve can i be responsible tor damage to fracture-filled/treated diamonds or gemstones. In order to prevent damage, the customer MUST disclose any such treatment before work is performed
LAYAWAYS
A deposit of 20% will hold merchandise to start a layaway. Layaway must be paid in full within 90 days.
Payments must be made monthly, Layaways cancelled prior to 90 day period will follow the return policy stated above. After 90 days, deposits may be returned in the form of in-store credit, less any shop charges.
SPECIAL ORDERS & CUSTOM MADE ITEMS
Require a 25% non-refundable deposit. Such items are non-refundable and any payments made will be forfeited.
APPRAISALS
It is recommended that jewelry over $5,000.00 in value be insured, either as an addition to the owner s existing property insurance policy or through a separate jewelry policy. We are able to assist you in obtaining coverage through Jeweler's Mutual upon request. Most insurance companies will not insure jewelry or timepieces without a written appraisal. We can provide you with an appraisal free of charge upon request at the time of purchase of a jewelry item or timepiece (valued over $5,000.00) from our store. For all other appraisals, please call for pricing and availability.
Items left in our possession for any reason will be covered under our insurance policy, against damage or loss UP TO OUR REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT COST ONLY. In the event of a loss, we will make every attempt to refurbish or replace the item with an identical item or one of equal value, but in cases where this is not possible, we will not be held financially liable for any amount in excess of our replacement cost, regardless of any insurance policy held by the owner valuing the item at an amount greater than our replacement cost.
