Oliver Smith

"Founder Oliver Smith, a graduate gemologist, jewelry designer, and passionate entrepreneur, has been involved in the jewelry business for 44 years. With a keen eye for beauty and a dedication to craftsmanship, he has woven a friendly and personable luxury experience into the fabric of Oliver Smith Jeweler."

Oliver Smith moved west from Pennsylvania in 1981, driven by a passion for jewelry to join his sister in her jewelry business.

He opened his first store on Balboa Island in Newport Beach and relocated to sunny Scottsdale in 1985, establishing a small shop focused on designing, appraising, buying, and selling jewelry and watches. Over the past four decades, Oliver has built a thriving business known for exceptional craftsmanship and personalized service.

Together with his wife Aimee, to whom he has been married for over 35 years, Oliver raised their three children in the Arizona desert. Drawing inspiration from nature, Oliver can often be found surfing, hiking, or playing golf, among other outdoor pursuits. He also enjoys the competitive spirit of a good game of cribbage.

Passionate about giving back to the local community, Oliver has served on the YMCA board of directors, as past president of the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy board of directors, and as a member of the Scottsdale Charros. He is also an inductee into the Scottsdale History Hall of Fame.

Oliver has instilled a commitment to philanthropy into the ethos of Oliver Smith Jeweler, having supported over 50 local Arizona and Aspen charities in the last 5 years.
